A resident of the Chinese city of Ningde reported that his child fell ill after eating a meal that contained a bat. This information was reported by the News China outlet.
The man posted a video online claiming he had found a bat in a meat dish purchased at a local restaurant. According to the father, his son began suffering from nausea after eating the food, prompting the parents to seek medical attention. At the hospital, the child underwent a series of tests, including a biochemical blood analysis.
The following day, local officials confirmed they were aware of the incident. Representatives from the relevant agency stated that they had visited the establishment in question and launched an investigation.
However, experts note that they cannot yet state with certainty that the object found in the food is indeed a bat. Samples have been sent for laboratory analysis, and the investigation is ongoing.
It was also revealed that the man had filed an official complaint with a consumer protection agency. Authorities have promised to release the findings of the investigation as soon as the test results are available.
