Fishermen caught a 300-kilogram tuna off the coast of Whitby, UK. The fish was transported to the island of Jersey and sold to a sushi restaurant for £5,000 (approximately 572,000 rubles), according to SWNS.
The tuna was caught by the crew of the vessel Dominator A. Transporting the catch proved challenging; winches and a special trolley were required to unload the fish from the truck.
Six specially hired men—including four bodybuilders—delivered the carcass to the restaurant. They estimated that the fish’s head alone weighed at least 40 kilograms.
Butchering the tuna took about two hours. To preserve the meat and avoid damaging it, the carcass was divided into eight sections rather than the standard four.
