On Tuesday, the Norwegians defeated Ivory Coast 2–1 in Dallas in the Round of 32. The 25‑year‑old Haaland found the back of the net, marking his first ever knockout-stage appearance at a World Cup.
The 41‑year‑old Ronaldo has played eight World Cup elimination matches without ever managing to score.
