The French company Momentum Technologies has unveiled a futuristic shelter called the Lifepod to the public. According to its creators, this autonomous module is designed to protect individuals from bullets and bomb blasts, as reported by the Daily Mail.
The capsule’s body is constructed from high-strength engineering-grade steel. At the same time, engineers managed to maintain the structure’s mobility.
The developers emphasize that their creation fundamentally differs from traditional stationary bunkers, which are tailored to a single threat. The shelter can be transported in a container, moved by helicopter, stacked on top of one another, and quickly deployed both in urban settings and at remote industrial sites.
Of course, it comes with a hefty price tag. The basic version of the capsule itself will cost the customer between 25,000 and 35,000 British pounds.
