Sultan Madash, an attacker for Saudi Arabia, broke the deadlock just before halftime. In the second half, Abdullah Al Hamdan extended the Saudis’ lead. Salem Al-Dawsari sealed the win with a third goal late in the game, establishing the final scoreline.
The match commenced at 2:00 AM Moscow time but was halted in the 21st minute due to a thunderstorm. Play resumed after a two-hour delay, during which players, officials, and coaches remained in the locker rooms.
The Saudi Arabian squad is currently preparing for the 2026 World Cup, scheduled from June 11th to July 19th across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Saudi Arabia has been placed in Group H, where they will face Uruguay on June 16th, Spain on June 21st, and Cape Verde on June 27th.
