Apple today unveiled an enhancement to its iCloud Shared Albums feature, making it simpler for friends and family on Android and Windows devices to join albums and contribute pictures in full resolution.
This improvement for Android and Windows users addresses a key limitation that hindered collaboration among mixed-device groups. It now allows individuals outside the Apple ecosystem to more easily access shared albums via iCloud.com and, for the first time, upload uncompressed, full-resolution photos.
Furthermore, Apple has introduced new functionalities for filtering photos within shared albums, adding comments, and has also revamped the tools for inviting others to participate.
