In China’s central Hubei province, severe thunderstorms and gale-force winds have resulted in eight fatalities. One individual remains unaccounted for. This information was reported by Xinhua, citing local authorities.
The adverse weather was observed on July 6 across several cities in the region. Alongside strong winds and thunderstorms, certain areas experienced intense whirlwinds, which exacerbated the situation and caused significant damage.
Emergency response teams are currently continuing search and rescue operations. Specialists from the regional emergency management department are working in the affected areas, assessing the damage caused by the natural disaster and searching for the missing person.
