Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that he intends to visit New York in September, despite calls from Zohran Mamdani to arrest him under an International Criminal Court warrant. The New York Post reported the story.
“First of all, I am going to New York. I am definitely going there. I will speak the truth in front of this, you know, hate-mongering elected official who pits New Yorkers against one another,” Netanyahu declared.
Earlier, Zohran Mamdani acknowledged that he could not arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pursuant to an International Criminal Court warrant without federal government assistance. The politician stated that his administration had explored all possible options under current law.
Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump categorically rejected the idea. Writing on his Truth Social platform, he stated that Netanyahu “will not be arrested in any way, shape, or form while he is in the United States.”
