The model boasts 2.4 trillion parameters and supports a context window of up to 1 million tokens. It excels in advanced coding, real-world tasks, deep research, and long-horizon execution. Qwen3.8-Max is multimodal: it can process not only text but also images and video. Developers can access it via APIs on Alibaba Cloud Model Studio or through QwenWork, Alibaba’s all-in-one workplace AI agent platform. A key efficiency feature: while the model is large, it activates only a subset (around 95 billion parameters) when in use, reducing computational costs and latency. Alibaba plans to release the model weights to the public shortly.
