PSG goalkeeper Matvey Safonov has kept his first clean sheet of the 2026/27 season.
The 27-year-old Russian kept a clean sheet in the Matchday 4 game against Brest (1–0) in the French league. Prior to this, Safonov had conceded nine goals in six matches across all competitions this season.
Safonov has been playing for PSG since the summer of 2024. His contract with the French club runs until 2029. During his time with the Parisian side, Safonov has notably won the French league title twice and the Champions League twice.
Safonov was previously nominated for the France Football Goalkeeper of the Year award for the 2025/26 season.
