A four-year-old boy in the United States was tortured to death at a so-called military-style camp, where his own mother had sent him due to his misbehavior. Chilling details of the case are being reported by People magazine.
According to law enforcement, 23-year-old Destiny Rose Lipscomb handed her son over to 24-year-old Alexander Martinez-Armstrong. The stated reason was that the boy had allegedly rummaged through her bag and lied. The woman herself referred to this as a discipline program. In reality, the child was routinely subjected to physical abuse.
The severely abused toddler was brought to the hospital on May 16th. Medical professionals were unable to save him. Martinez-Armstrong, who was arrested later and is not the child’s biological father, did not deny the allegations and admitted to the beatings. He is currently facing murder charges.
The mother was apprehended six days later. Investigators charged her with child cruelty resulting in death. In her defense, she claimed to have trusted the abuser as if he were nearly a brother, as he was friends with the boy’s actual father. Both individuals are now awaiting trial while incarcerated.
