
A U.S. Navy sailor stationed at NSA Panama City sustained severe injuries after an encounter with a great white shark in Florida waters. The incident occurred during the sailor’s lunch break while he was swimming in the Gulf of Mexico with a colleague.
According to CBS News, a large great white shark emerged from the water and attacked the sailor, inflicting significant damage to both of his arms. His colleague immediately intervened to assist, but the shark had already caused serious harm.
The injured sailor was rushed to a local hospital, where medical professionals are currently working to save his life. His condition is described as critical. Information regarding the well-being of the second sailor has not been released.
