A tragedy occurred in the province of Quebec. A couple in their seventies, Jay and Deb MacDonald, fell victim to a wild animal. This was reported by The Sun. In mid-July, the spouses went fishing at Lake Maktavish. After some time, relatives were unable to reach the pair by phone and contacted the police. A search was organized involving rescue services. Law enforcement discovered two bodies bearing signs of an attack by a large predator. Jay’s remains were found on the lake shore, while Deb’s body was located near the cabin where they had been staying. Several days later, police managed to track down and eliminate the bear responsible for the attack. Although the relatives have already identified the deceased, the authorities have not yet made an official confirmation of the victims’ identities. Earlier, we reported that authorities in Japan had begun searching for a thieving bear. In Iwate Prefecture, Japan, a bear is being sought that is linked to at least 14 cases of home break-ins in the city of Shizukuishi over two weeks—in one location, it appeared five times.
