McLaren’s British driver Lando Norris emerged victorious in the 11th round of the Formula 1 championship — the Hungarian Grand Prix, held at the Hungaroring circuit.
The reigning Formula 1 champion claimed his first main race win of the current season. Second place went to four-time championship winner Max Verstappen from the Netherlands, representing Red Bull. Third place was secured by Italian driver Kimi Antonelli of Mercedes.
Rounding out the top ten were: 4. Charles Leclerc (Ferrari; +23.840), 5. Lewis Hamilton (Ferrari; +24.540), 6. Isack Hadjar (Red Bull; +55.488), 7. George Russell (Mercedes; +57.503), 8. Liam Lawson (Racing Bulls; +1 lap), 9. Nico Hülkenberg (Audi; +1 lap), 10. Arvid Lindblad (Racing Bulls; +1 lap).
On lap 56, Norris’s teammate Oscar Piastri from Australia retired due to a gearbox issue. At the time of his stop, he was holding third place. Ferrari driver Hamilton finished fourth, but a five-second penalty for speeding at the pit lane exit cost him the position to his teammate Leclerc.
